ALBANY — Monster Jam Trucks Tickets The Dutchmen will be flying into Albany this summer, a wooden-bat baseball team of top collegiate players that will compete with teams in Saratoga, Glens Falls and Amsterdam.

Eric Margenau, managing partner for the team, said the franchise is moving to the city from Bennington, Vt., where they were known as the Bennington Bombers. The team will play 42 games, 21 at home in Bleecker Stadium as part of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

"What we really want to do is bring Bleeker Stadium to life as a significant entertainment venue," said Eric Margenau, the team's managing partner.

The Dutchmen, who are relocating from Bennington, Vt. where they were known as the Bombers, will play 21 home games in Albany.

But those stepping up to the plate in this wooden bat league won't be minor league farm hands like what you see at ValleyCats games. Instead, the 25-man roster will be made up top tier college players from around the country -- rising stars looking to sharpen their skills and show off in front of pro scouts.
